Uganda: A review of law and policy to prevent and remedy violence against children in police and pre-trial detention
This research aims to increase understanding of the specific legal and policy measures that can work to prevent and remedy violence against children in detention in Uganda. It
- identifies policy and legislative measures already in place to prevent and detect violence, to assist victims and to make perpetrators accountable;
- highlights significant gaps in provision; and
- makes recommendations for improvements.
Eight countries were researched. Click here to read reports on Bangladesh, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tanzania and Russia.
There is also an overview report (working draft) available in both English and Russian, which summarises the findings of the eight country reports.
